Fun at Ramseyer Farms

Jonah loved the covered wagon ride!
Autumn rode with him.  She told me after the ride that she was maybe just a little to big for the wagon.  She bumped her head several times!
All the kids loved the tube slide into the corn.

We had a lot of fun!  Mom and Aunt Kate had tickets and invited us to go with them.  Ramseyers do such a good job and have a lot of fun and imaginative things for the kids to do.  I'm very impressed with their set up.

I'm not sure this is what these bales were intended for but our kids sure loved jumping and posing.

Soccer and other fun stuff

Jacob decided he wanted to play soccer this fall.  He really loves it!  Today was his second game and he got to play goalie for the first half.  He did really well!  He had several great saves.

This is one of his saves.
He's number 7.  He is learning to be aggressive and go after the ball.  He sometimes waits for the ball to come to him.  He has learned so much already.  He has a really great coach who is patient with the kids and doesn't yell at them.
 Laney's broken nose...not for real.
Jonah helped me make spaghetti sauce yesterday.  He was in charge of straining the tomatoes.  He did a great job.
Karlee brought her umbrella one rainy day.  She had so much fun playing with it!  These two are so cute and fun!
Jacob enjoyed pushing Jonah around on rollerblades.  Of course Jonah loved it too.
Ethan and Laney buried Jake in the sand last Saturday.
 Hmm...what's in here?
 Surprise!  It's Jonah!
Jonah can now get into the chest freezer downstairs.  Yeah!
These guys showed up yesterday morning.  Jonah was sooooo excited!  There was another big truck in front of this but it didnt make it into the picture.  We soon learned they were just looking for the gas line so the village can do some water line repairs.  Jonah was so bummed that they werent gonna be digging.  I asked the one guy if they could just unload the backhoe for him.  He looked at me like I was some crazy lady.  I sure hope they were on their way to another job because this seems like a little overkill just to spray paint a G and a line where the main line is.
One last cute, smiling face to leave you with!  Have a great weekend.

Another Typical Day

We had a lot of fun this day in the bath.  Laney was feeling especially goofy.  We got some really good funny face shots but some of them showed a little too much for the blog!
Jonah was not as thrilled with the hair styling.
Adam cut up some huge stumps with his chainsaw.  Jonah was very impressed and loved digging in the sawdust.  I asked Adam "How can we move that stuff into the house?"  He didnt think that was a good idea.
Look how sweet he is.  Ok. Just earlier today we were quite hot in shorts and T shirts.  After the thunderstorm came through we actually needed the sweatshirts and jeans!  Huge temp difference.
Jonah went thru this very short phase were he had to have on a pair of Laney's pants.  Don't ask me what that was all about.
Jonah loves to help and is actually very good at sweeping!
 These two are best friends!
Jonah was actually trying to get into his tractor.
This is Karlee. Karlee and Jonah have the funniest conversations!  She is such a sweetheart!  I get to watch her during the week. She is a joy to have around!  I am thankful for the parents who allow me and trust me to watch their kids during the week. I realize I don't have even 1 picture of Jacob in this post.  Poor kid.  No, we didn't sell him.  He's in school everyday now.  I miss him!  Jonah asks several times a day "Where's Jacob?"  Well, that's all for now.

Camping and the 1st Day of School

Our family camped at Mohican State Park for a whole week.  We had an awesome relaxing time.  I especially loved taking the kids to the pool.  This is a shot of the 5 of us before we started our hike.  No after shots were taken.  It was a fun hike but we were all pretty much exhausted afterwards.
Jacob's friend Carson spent a few days with us.  He is a great kid and the boys had a lot of fun together.
Adam loves to take the kids on rides down the river.  It extremely low this year but they still had a great time playing in the water.
I love this one of Jonah.
Adam and Laney climbed all the way to the top of this 80 foot fire watch tower.  I was so impressed with Laney!
I have a lot more cute pictures from camping to post but couldnt find them on my computer for some reason.
Jacob's first day of 4th grade!  He was so excited to go!  I still don't love putting him on the bus even after all these years!  I would rather just keep him home with me.
Laney's first day of Kindergarten.  She goes 2 full days and 1/2 day each week.  I am so glad it's not full time.
 Waiting for the bus.
Off they go!  Kind of a sad day for me.
And this is what Jonah learned on the first day of school.  He can now open child locks on doors.  Great.  Not that playing with the pots is so bad...
It's the fact that they have to be filled with something.  I went around the corner for 1 minute....possibly to go to the bathroom? and came back to him filling pots with milk.  At least there was only a little bit on the carpet!
I have no idea what this is.  Just ignore it I guess!
