Texas

Laney and Jacob in the van on the way to Columbus Airport.  They were so very excited to be going to Texas!  Were are so thankful for Tom and Diane Hartzler for taking us and picking us up at the airport.

Jonah loved watching the airplanes taking off and landing.
Grandma helping keep the kids entertained while we waited for our flight.
Aunt Kate, Tonia and Autumn waiting at our gate.  I am so thankful for Aunt Kate who helped me so much with my children on this trip.
Finally on board! Jacob is hiding by the window.  He didn't love the plane at first, but once he got used to it he enjoyed flying.
A grand meeting!  Summer is so sweet!  Jonah just loved her and Lexi.
Laney and Summer actually look alot alike.  Laney loved playing with both of her Texas cousins.
It was so excited to meet Lexi for the first time.  She is so sweet and adorable.
Jacob, Alyssa, Lexi and Autumn in San Antonio. It was a beautiful day.

Notice the blue Solo cup?  Jonah discovered a dead bird under it. Yuck!
Laney holding Lexi at our outdoor lunch.  The birds loved us and kept swooping over our heads and pecking under our table.
This bird barged right in and stole a french fry off of a plate.
Everything really is bigger in Texas.
Jacob at the Alamo.  He loved this part of our sight seeing.  He learned about the Alamo at school and was thrilled to see it in real life.
Aunt Kate and Summer at the Alamo.
Is this Jacob or Davy Crockett?
I tried to sneak a picture of this very serious Alamo security guard.  Well he noticed me and posed so nicely.  I yelled thanks and got a nod from him.  I found it quite amusing.
 Aunt Kate, Summer and Lexi.
Grandpa and Summer.  Grandpa drove his semi to Texas and parked it right in the driveway.
 Laney and Lexi.
These steps were great entertainment for the kids.  They probably took a few years off the life of the carpet sliding down.  Scott and Rachel's house is beautiful!
Jacob in his new cowboy boots.

 Posing before the wedding.
Laney and Lanae getting ready for the wedding.
Laney and her uncle that she just loves!  She was so excited to be the flower girl.  She felt very special.
 Jacob in his wedding suit.

Summer and Laney.  (Rachel made Summer's dress!  I am very impressed.)
Laney let Summer throw some of her flower petals after the ceremony.

This is on the swing at church.  Lexi loves it!
We enjoyed our trip to Texas so much.  Thank you Scott and Rachel for keeping us all at your house!  We are so thankful we could be at the wedding and feel blessed to get to take this trip.

What a wonderful world!

Grandpa Hartzler had Jonah outside one day and snapped this picture with his phone.  I think it is one of the sweetest pictures ever!
We go from warm and sunny to cold and windy this winter.  Such strange weather we've had.  Oh well, I'll take every sunny day we get!
Laney loved playing out in the snow.  She had Adeline over and they played out for quite awhile. We've not had too many snowy days like this!
Jonah has not outgrown being into EVERYTHING yet.
 So proud of his work.
Jake has his last basketball game tomorrow.  He had so much fun playing and learned a ton.  He had the best coaches.  They really encouraged the kids and Jake gained alot of confidence from them.
Not a great picture, but can you see Jake?  He's the tiny one in the corner in red.  Someone with a kid on the opposing team leaned over to his friend at one point and said "How is it that the smallest kid on the court keeps getting all the rebounds?"  He is a very scrappy player.
Jonah insists on climbing into the high chair all the time.  Jacob thought he could deter him by turning it over.....
Laney posing (against our gorgeous fridge) in flower girl dress #1.  We decided not to use this one.
Jonah is really into cereal lately.  Really anything with milk or broth that he can drink from the bowl.  Shockingly, he is pretty clean with it.
Jacob enjoying two of his favorite activities - snacking and looking at Lego Starwars books.
Not exactly the proper way to sit in the high chair.
Aren't they sweet?  This is Karlee giving Jonah the sweetest hug.  They just love each other...most of the time!
Laney took a picture of dinner one night.  I guess she wanted to remember mom making a good meal??
So Grandpa was home for a couple of days this week.  Jonah and Karlee love Pa Paw.
Isn't he ornery looking?  I gave him a haircut this week.  It was supposed to be a little trim to even up the back.....Turned into a full blown haircut.
I am very sad that all of his hair is gone, but it will grow back I guess.
We took a road trip to Greensburg, PA last weekend to see Grandpa and Grandma Aubrey.  It was so good to see them.  The kids did great on the road and while we were there.
It's only a 3 1/2 hour drive, but poor Laney looks like we've been driving for days!  I really did comb her hair just before we left.  Not really sure how this happened just driving down the road.
This felt coloring thing kept Jacob busy for a long time.  I think I'll be bringing these on our trip to Texas.
Didn't he do an awesome job?
Laney is soo excited to go to Texas in April (actually we all are!).  I made her this chain so she can visualize how many days are left until we leave.  She loves to take a link off every night.
This is the flower girl dress I think.  She just loves it and looks really cute in it.

I'll leave you with this final shot.  This little guy caused quite a stir.  Jonah, Karlee, Laney and the rest of the kids spent a very long time watching it out the window tormenting our neighbors dogs.  The dogs finally went in the house and the skunk (or kunk as Jonah calls it) took a swim in their underground pool.  This is the most exciting thing to happen around here all week!
